The Versatile Blogger Award

Today I was honoured and chuffed to receive my first blogging award, The Versatile Blogger Award, from Anna at Holding Mummy’s Hand.  Thank you so much, I love her blog and it was lovely of her to give me this award!

Now, with this award, come some rules: 1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you the award; 2. Share 7 things about yourself; 3. Pass the award to 15 blogs you enjoy and let them know they’ve been given the award.  Now as I’m new to blogging I don’t yet know of 15 blogs so I’ll will pass the award on to the ones I know and love at the moment.

So, here are 7 things about myself:

1, I’m 37 but everyone thinks I look about 24 (which I really hate!).

2, I have a first class honours degree in Textile Design and Surface Decoration.

3, After graduating in 1995 I went to work in Lake Como, in Italy, but my boss was really horrible and seedy so I came home after 3 months.

4, I love New York and can’t wait to go back again.

5, I love making things and wish I could give up my job and just sew and craft all day long.

6, I cannot bake a cake – I dont know why, I have a great oven, I follow the receipe exactly, but it always turns out like a biscuit.

7, Last but by no means least, I have a wonderful husband, we’ve been together for 10 years and we have a beautiful daughter who is now 21 months.
