Yesterday we had our Queen’s Jubilee Street Party. The event started around 10am when we closed off the road. I then got to work putting up the bunting with help from some neighbours. The bunting had taken many hours to make (with help from my Mum) and I was really pleased with the effect. We’d made 100 metres which made 5 lengths going across the street.
Slowly people began bringing out their tables and chairs, the bouncy castle got blown up and soon the party was in full swing. Then sadly, a couple of hours in the heavens opened and it started to pour with rain…and didn’t stop.
Here are a few shots from the day.

What a shame about the weather, but lovely that the community came together for a knees up.
It was brilliant – we already starting to talk about the next event!
yes all looks great! We had a splendid time too for about 5days! your bunting looks great!
