Over the last 4 to 6 weeks I’ve been growing a lot of plug plats in my greenhouses. This is because our new house had a completely plant free garden (except one single Aquilegia plant)! So I had a blank canvas to play with. Having built my rasied beds and got my veggies growing, I next need to introduce some colour and scent! I have a long, wide border that needed digging over. I’ve been spending evenings and weekends digging it for ages and this weekend I finished it. Today, I finally got chance to plant all my lovely cottage flowers. I’ve gone for the traditional cornflowers, delphiniums, foxgloves, penstemons, lupins, aquilegia, cosmos, nicitiana, petunias, lavenders, snapdragons, verbena and sweatpeas. I’m hoping that next year it should look stunning – I don’t think they will do much flowering this year.
So here is today’s progress!

Back breaking work! Looking forward to the colour photos next year.
oh wow tina! Cant wait to see it all growing….. should be blooming lovely ! mum x
