Beach combing in St Ives, Cornwall
Yesterday we arrived in sunny St Ives in Cornwall. Once we had settled into our lovely apartment overlooking St Ives Harbour, we headed down to the beach to paddle and play. However, we hadn’t been on the beach for even 30 seconds before my husband found a piece of sea glass! Turned out that there was loads of sea glass and sea pottery pieces. After just one hour this is the haul we had collected! We think that the glass is from all the bottles that thrown into the sea from the pub goers!
I’m planning to use some of the nicer pieces in my Coastal sea glass jewellery and sea pottery pendants. With the rest I’m planning to make some outdoor garden sea glass mobiles to hang in the sunshine reflecting the lovely colours of the glass.
