Making our Easter Bonnet
Now my daughter has started school she had really got creative and loves making things (like all the time!). Last week in her classroom they had some baby chicks which they had seen hatch out of their shells. This inspired her idea for her Easter Bonnet competition entry. So this weekend we got busy and had so much fun with paper mache! We covered three balloons with strips of newspaper to make the eggs and when dry we painted them in a light egg colour. The idea is that the eggs show the stages of hatching! One that has some cracks, one with the chick’s beak showing and one cracked open with the chick still inside! My daughter has also made some egg box flowers which we will be adding on tonight!
