Painting beach rocks and pebbles
One thing I really want to do is try painting beach pebble rocks. I have collected so many pebbles which I use for my beach pebble keyrings but so far I have only drilled holes in them – I have never tried painting them.
Should you wish to try painting stones yourself, here are some simple handy tips:
- Wash and dry your stones
- Work out your pattern or design on paper first and decide on your colours
- Using acrylic paint paint your stones, allowing a couple of hours between coats
- When completely dry, paint with modge podge to set the paint
I have been inspired by so many beautifully painted pebbles – here are some of favourites below. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do.

These are so pretty ! I have just started doing this.I live in Northern California, right on the Oregon border. What we do is paint them and hide them with a note on the back to post on FB in Curry County Rocks for whoever finds them. It is so much fun for all of us.
Thanks will give it a try.
These are so creative. I am going to attempt some if your designs. Hope they come out as nice as yours
