Sunny afternoon at Batsford Arboretum
Last weekend we took a visit to Batsford Aboretum. My Mum had been recently and raved about a giftshop so we thought we would take a nice drive out in the countryside to have a look.
Batsford Arboretum is just outside Moreton in Marsh in the Cotswolds. As well as the Arboretum there is a lovely garden centre and a fab cafe. The development of the cafe and garden centre is quite recent as it is completely different to when I last visited a couple of years back.
Situated at the back of the main gift shop is a barn housing a gorgeous shop selling called Applestore. It sells vintage and shabby chic gifts and is the perfect place to pick up an unusual gift. I bought some vintage china plates and tea cup to add to my collection. I could have bought many more things had I had enough money!
The cafe was also great and we enjoyed a lovely meal sitting outside on the large decked area enjoying some late summer sunshine and warmth watching the falcons from the nearby Cotswold Falconry Center.
